Welcome to Northeast Jutland, the holiday destination for the whole family, where you can live in the middle of nature with direct access to child friendly sandy beaches, close to both village idyll and city atmosphere and with many lovely destinations within reach. The region stretches from Frederikshavn up north, over Hals and Grenå to Ebeltoft in the south. It is also here you will larger city like Aalborg and Randers.

Here at the mild east coast you will find some of the most child friendly beaches in Northern Europe. The water is clean, clear and often rather shallow and the water temperature is higher than in the North Sea. Mostly the waves are small, the dunes low and the beaches white and sandy and always car free.

Northeast Jutland is known for its small cosy coastal towns with lively harbours and charming fishing villages, which lie all the way up the coast. Here you can spend many hours, breathing in the special atmosphere.

For the culturally interested Eastern Jutland is a true horn of plenty, because you will find numerous interesting village churches, castles and manors, of which many are open to the public, and many ancient landmarks such as passage graves and burial mounds.

If you prefer nature to culture, you have also come to the right place. Northeastern Jutland is nature at its best. Along the coast you will find varied coast line, where white sandy beaches some places switch to laggons with a rich bird life and impressive cliffs. In the inland you find lush nature, hilly landscapes with breathtaking views, wide fields, vast heaths, plantations and deep forests.

In the northern part of the region there are several preserved nature areas, a.o. the national park "Lille Vildmose", which was formed more than 1.000 years ago and definitely worth the visit. Apporx. 30 km south of Aalborg you can visit the forest "Rold Skov" and the Rebild hills, which is a uniquely beautiful and hilly area with loads of hiking and bicycle paths.

"Mols Bjerge" in the southern part of the region, invites you to walks and picnics and wonderful views over the peninsula Mols and the Baltic Sea. In Northern Djursland you can see the towering chalk cliffs, which are millions of years old.
