The road to your dansommer holiday home on Iceland

By plane
All year round you can fly to Iceland with both Icelandair and Iceland Express. You arrive at Keflavik International Airport, which is located 40 km southwest of central Reykjavik.
Airline fares are constantly changing, so ge the airline or your travel agency to find the most favourable ticket. In addition to normal return tickets, you can find a number of tempting discount or family fares as well as group tickets for groups of different sizes. The airline fares also vary depending on the time of year.
By boat
Smyril Line are sailing all year round from Hanstholm or Esbjerg in Denmark to Seydisfjördur in eastern Iceland.

Please note: During the summer the Smyril Line ferries to Iceland have a two day stop over on the Faroe Islands, which offers the exceptional opportunity to visit the Faroe Islands before continuing to Iceland!
Unfortunately dansommer has no holiday homes on Faroe Islands, but will gladly help with links and information about accommodation.
By own car
Please bring driver's license, registration and the international insurance card for motor vehicles.
Rental car
You can rent cars through different Icelandic car rental companies either throuh a travel agency or directly on arrival at the airport. There are different types of cars on offer, from simple saloons to powerful four wheel driven SUV's.
