Customer service
As Denmark's leading provider of quality and luxury holiday homes, we endeavour to give you the best possible service. Each holiday home is inspected and approved by dansommer to ensure that you can feel comfortable in "your" holiday home. Well in advance you will receive a complete service folder especially prepared for your tenancy. It contains among other items a coloured road map showing you exactly where to pick up the key and how to find your holiday home and a detailed house description. You will also find leaflets on activities, sightseeing and other items of interest in the holiday area enabling you to plan your holiday from home.
dansommer's local office for your holiday destination will be at hand to offer you advice and help. The exact address, phone number etc. of the local service office is on the house description.
Deposit
The deposit must be paid upon arrival and is, if nothing else is mentioned, for houses with:
| swimming pool | EUR 360,- |
| spa bath | EUR 150,- |
| other houses | EUR 100,- |
(A larger deposit can be applicable)
For school or youth groups dansommer reserves the right to demand a larger deposit than the above mentioned. The deposit serves as an insurance for the owner in case of damage to the house or insufficient cleaning. The deposit is payable in cash on arrival. The deposit is refundable no later than 21 days after departure. Before refunding your deposit your energy consumption and telephone bill, if any, will be deducted. Should there be any damages or missing items or lack of sufficient cleaning this will also be deducted together with a handling fee from your deposit. Should the amount payable exceed your deposit sum, you will be charged the difference.
Fishing
All persons between the age of 18 and 65 must acquire a state fishing license before fishing in salt water and public fresh water.
Prices 2007:

A fishing license can be obtained at the local Tourist Office or at some kiosks in the holiday area. You must always have the receipt and identification with you during fishing. When fishing in privately owned fresh water you have to pay an additional day fee to the owner or the local anglers' club. Fishing with a net is prohibited in fresh water.
Medical or police assistance
You can make emergency calls from any public telephone free of charge - dial 112. By dialing this number you can request emergency services such as ambulance, police, fire brigade etc.
Military practice grounds
The Danish Ministery of Defence has informed us that military exercises may occur in the below mentioned areas: Blåvand, Jægerpris, Tranum, Raghammer, Sjællands Odde, Hald, Nymindegab, Hevring, Rømø, Vejers and Vester Sømarken. Normally the activities are minimized during the summer months.
Noise
Being on holiday in Denmark, everyday life goes on, and therefore unexpected noise from construction work, traffic etc. may occur. Please bear in mind that even in a holiday area everyday life must go on. The Danish law states that there has to be peace and quiet during the hours of 22:00 and 06:00 hrs.
Passport
Nordic citizens do not need a passport or special travel insurance in order to enter Denmark. We suggest you bring your car registration and insurance police.
Pets
As from 1. October 2004 following import rules for dogs, cats and ferrets from a EU country to Denmark were effective:
- The animals must be identified with a clearly readable tattoo or a microchip.
- At all times valid documentation from the veterinarian must accompany the animals, and the documentation must prove that the animals are vaccinated against rabies at least 30 days before import. Furthermore documentation that the vaccination is valid for three years is required.
For animals, which have been vaccinated within the first year of their lives, the vaccination must be repeated at the latest within one year.
Import to Bornholm via Sweden and for animals, which travel to Denmark from a country outside EU, special conditions apply, provided the animals are older than three months. For further information contact your veterinarian or the Danish Board of Agriculture:

In Denmark dogs must always be kept on a leash. It is illegal to import dogs of the breeds Pitbull-Terrier and Tosa and crossbreeds/hybrids of these two breeds.
To our Swedish guests: We advise you not to import pets to Denmark, as the Swedish authorities can demand that the animals are placed into quarantine.
Smoke-free holiday homes
Certain homeowners prefer that their properties are smoke-free. Upon the owner's request, these will be referred to as smoke-free holiday homes in the house description. dansommer is unable to guarantee or verify that the ban is always respected but strongly recommends that guests adhere to it..
Standard facilities
Apart from the facilities mentioned in the catalogue all dansommer holiday homes have hot and cold water in both the kitchen and bathroom, a coffeemaker and garden furniture.
Tents and campers
It is forbidden to pitch tents or park campers etc. on the holiday home grounds or nearby. We kindly refer to our "Terms and conditions of rental".
The key
Where and how to find the key is in the travel documents, which you have received. Please note that the key cannot be handed over until the deposit is paid and you have shown the original booking confirmation to the key holder.
Things to bring with you
You must bring your own bed linen (sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases), tablecloth, tea towels, dish cloth, towels and cleaning detergents. Otherwise you will find all the items needed in a normal household in your holiday home.
P.S.
Should you wish further brochures or more information about parts of Denmark, please contact the local tourist office or Denmark's Tourist Board in Copenhagen.
