Payment
How and when do I get paid?

You will be paid via bank transfer directly into your chosen account. Payment will be made at the beginning of the month in which your guest arrives. We will pay the full rental price even if the guest has not arrived yet, subject to terms and conditions.

The necessary time varies from country to country dependent on processing time. If the booking is very last minute, then you will receive payment at the start of the following month. 

What happens to my payment if my guests cancel their reservation?

If a guest cancels a confirmed booking within a defined number of days prior to their scheduled arrival, then we will cover between 80% and a 100% of the lost rental price. The number of days before arrival and coverage percentage is dependent on the country. 

How do I know that I’m getting the right price for my rental property?

We are your partner and share a common interest in renting out your property at the best possible price. We use our market insight, our extensive data set and experience as well as on-going monitoring and analysis of holiday trends to ensure that consistently receive the most competitive price throughout your rental period.

Can I take a deposit?

Generally, we do not take deposits, although there are some exceptions to this. Instead, we offer different services to secure your holiday home. This includes a ‘Minor Damage Concept’, where we cover the cost of any small damages made to your home during the course of a rental period up to 135 EUR, as well as free Homeowner Insurance to cover larger damages. How much can I earn from renting out my holiday home through NOVASOL?

Your income is dependent on a number of factors, such as the location of the property, the number of weeks the property is available for rent, the standard and facilities on offer at your property and the time of year during which it is rented out. Your local adviser will make a price estimate and set a rental budget for the season during a meeting with you. 

We will also use our experience and on-going analysis of the holiday market to advise you on a variety of ways in which you can improve your property for rental and therefore increase your rental income.

Agreement
What is the difference between letting NOVASOL rent out my holiday home and doing it myself?

Renting out your holiday home takes up a great deal of time and effort. It requires a lot of administration, finding a suitable price structure through a rental season, promoting your holiday home through a number of mediums, handling bookings as well as dealing with guest questions, issues and so on.

If you choose us as your rental partner, we take care of all this and much more. In addition, you will benefit from our 50 years’ of experience as well as on-going analysis of and insight into the holiday market. All of which we put to good use to ensure that you have the best possible rental experience which is both profitable and enjoyable.

Can I use my holiday home in the high season?

Yes of course – simply block the periods that you want to use your property in your rental calendar. During the high season, you can block the holiday home for a limited number of weeks in order to ensure a successful rental season for your holiday home.

Can I use my holiday home in the low season?

In the low season, you can occupy your holiday home at any time as long as it is not already booked. You can block time-periods in the calendar to make sure your holiday home is free when you need it.

Does it cost me anything to enter into a concept?

No, it’s completely free. Your holiday home, its surroundings, interior and the available rental period has to meet certain criteria to become a part of our concepts but as long as it does, then you can be a part of one of our concepts completely free of charge. 

Your designated rental adviser will help you determine which concepts fit your holiday home and guide you on any small improvements you can make in order to boost the bookings and rental price of your holiday home even further.

How long is the holiday rental agreement valid?

When you enter into a partnership with us, you make a one-year agreement valid for the current year and the subsequent year. Afterwards, the agreement is automatically renewed one year at a time. If you wish, you can of course terminate your agreement at the end of each agreement period.

How long will it take for my property to appear online after the agreement is signed?

After your local adviser has visited you at your holiday home and you have signed the rental agreement, your property will typically appear online within 2-7 working days. 

Is NOVASOL right for me if I only want to rent out my property for a couple a weeks each year?

It depends on the actual number of weeks and the time of year you have in mind. Please contact us to find out more.

Insurance
What happens if a guest causes damage to my holiday home?

It is important to us that you feel at ease when you rent out your holiday home. Therefore, our Homeowner Insurance automatically covers NOVASOL homeowners. The insurance acts as a supplement to your own. In addition, with our Minor Damage Concept, we cover the cost of smaller damage of up to 135 EUR.

Is there any legislation I should be aware of when considering renting out my holiday home?

The specific laws and regulations surrounding the short-term rental of property vary from country to country. Your local team of advisors will be able to advise and guide you on the different requirements and specifications that exist for holiday home owners in your respective countries.

What happens when someone books my holiday home?

You will receive notification via e-mail that your property has been booked. You can find details on each individual booking on your homeowner page.

Can I keep personal belongings in my holiday home?

Yes, of course, but it should be kept in a clearly marked, private and preferably locked room or storage space.

How can I keep track of my bookings?

On your personal homeowner page, you will be able to view a booking overview where you can see the booking period, arrival details, payment per booking, a monthly account overview and more.
